Welcome

My primary purpose as a teacher is to give to my students what yoga has given me- an empowerment of self and a safe space to explore the deeper inquiries we have and problems we face. Yoga to me has never been a space to escape from it all. It has always been somewhere that I feel I can really face what’s happening with clarity and courage.

That’s why this practice has helped guide me through so much. This is what I offer to my students.

My classes are physically challenging but my emphasis is on philosophy and spirit. People coming to Yoga for just a workout will either find another teacher besides me (which is just fine) or quickly learn in my classes that this practice is so much more.

I love my community. It is like my family. Many of my students I know well and am quite close with. You’ll see this in my classes but do not confuse this with my preference for them over anyone else. I always welcome inquiry, conversation, or jokes (yes jokes) from those I’ve known 1 day to those I’ve known 1 decade. My philosophy is that I treat my students not as my students, but as people I care deeply about.

I look forward to practicing with you.
